Biography

Tracy Runck serves as a Senior Functional Systems Analyst for Academic Success managing technology and systems for Academic Success Units including HireJayhawks, JayhawkReady, unit websites, and the First Destination Survey.  Tracy oversees the use of technology and data to help improve knowledge and create process efficiency within Academic Success.  Current responsibilities include communication with key stakeholders; managing existing technology and systems; requirements analysis and implementation of new systems; managing and tracking system implementation and enhancement projects including change management; and designing, organizing, and providing training to end users.  She has extensive background in software implementation management, system design, customer relationship management, testing, support, training, and project management.

Previously, Tracy served the Assistant Vice Provost for Career and Experiential Learning as Assistant Director of Student Systems.  In that role, she managed all technology solutions for the University Career Center and Academic Programs and Experiential Learning units as well as spearheading the First Destination Survey Committee.

Prior to joining KU, Tracy served as Executive Director of Education Solutions for an enterprise level software development company. Tracy has over 20 years experience implementing and managing software solutions for universities.  She worked with university administrators on software solutions to manage curriculum, assessment, student data, course catalogs, student schedules, and other key documentation.  Tracy's past experience spans curriculum mapping, clinical tracking, and comprehensive assessment in a competency based learning environment within health science education.

Tracy earned undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, and Information Systems and a Masters Degree in Accounting with core study in Information Systems and Auditing from the University of Kansas.
